There are two sketch plans of this sculpture (Height 25 cm)

There has never been a child that that did not try to observe the world upside down. This urge, this sound form of curiosity, is what this sculpture is about. It was made in commission of a foundation that aims at stimulating a child to broaden its horizon (Stichting tot het Nut van het Algemeen). In September 1999 the sculpture was placed at the Fermerie in the Muggenplein , Deventer.
The shape is extremely sober, even almost symmetrical, making the concentration on the subject is all the more intense.
